How do you uninstall AOL Antivirus, AOL Firewall, AOL Spyware Protection and AOL Safety and Security Center?

To uninstall AOL Antivirus, AOL Firewall, AOL Spyware Protection and AOL Safety and Security Center, please perform the following steps: Click the "Start" button on your PC's desktop, and click the "Control Panel" tab on the pop-up menu. Click "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel window, and click the "AOL Uninstaller" tab in the programs list. Click the "Change/Remove" button located in the lower-right corner of the AOL Uninstaller tab, and click the check box next to AOL Antivirus, AOL Firewall, AOL Spyware Protection and AOL Safety and Security Center. Click the "Uninstall" button to confirm that you wish to remove the checked program, and wait for your computer to complete the uninstallation process. Click the "Restart Now" button to restart your computer, which removes folders associated with the AOL programs.

Does my motherboard have SLI Support?

chkdsk - Cannot open volume for direct access - Unable to gain exclusive use of drive

When attempting to run chkdsk, you may encounter the messages "Cannot open volume for direct access" or "Unable to gain exclusive use of drive."  In the Event Viewer, you also see Event ID: 11 Source: Disk and Event ID: 129 Source: Disk.  When this issue occurs, it is typically due to one or more of the following issues: PC Tools Spyware Doctor has been installed. Laptop will not boot with battery installed

The first step is to isolate if the problem involves the laptop motherboard or the laptop battery.  To do so, remove the battery from the laptop.  Power on the laptop without the battery.  If the laptop boots with the battery removed, we can normally conclude the motherboard is working fine and the problem involves the battery. Drive Not Ready - Exception Processing Message c000000a3

When using Microsoft Windows, you may encounter the error message: "Drive Not Ready - Exception Processing Message c000000a3."  Drive Not Ready is a hardware error message indicating the floppy drive on the computer is experiencing one or more of the following issues: In BIOS, the floppy drive is enabled when a floppy drive is not actually present.  If a floppy drive is removed from a computer, the floppy drive should be disabled in BIOS.  The floppy drive is bad and requires replacement. The floppy drive is not properly connected to the motherboard. To resolve this issue, please take the appropriate course of action listed above. If you do not wish to use the floppy drive, the normal course of action is to disable the floppy drive in BIOS.  To temporarily resolve this issue, you can perform the following steps which disables the floppy drive in Device Manager:  Click Start - Control Panel - System. Windows Preloads/Reloads - FAT32 vs. NTFS

Some computer manufacturers released to manufacturing builds of Microsoft Windows XP that were preloaded with FAT32.  The preferred and standard file system is NTFS.  NTFS is a far more secure and capable file system.  To confirm this, perform the following steps: On the Windows Desktop, double-click My Computer. Right-mouse click your primary boot partition - normally the C Drive and select Properties.  On the General Tab, confirm that the File System says FAT32. To convert the FAT32 file system to an NTFS file system, please perform the following steps.  These steps assume the C Drive is the FAT32 partition that you wish to convert to NTFS. Click Start - Run. Type: cmd Click OK. Type: convert c: /fs:ntfs Hit Enter. Push Y to force dismount. Push Y to schedule conversion on system restart. Click Start - Shutdown - Restart and restart the computer. Allow the FAT32 to NTFS file system conversion to complete. This issue has been resolved.

All Internet Service Providers allow customers to freely browse the internet and retrieve their email using a web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.).  Optionally, to retrieve email, a customer can use also use an email client (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, etc.).  When a customer purchases internet service, many Internet Service Providers previously offered MSN Premium to browse the internet and retrieve email.  MSN Premium is not required to retrieve email or browse the internet but some customers prefer to use it.  Recently, many Internet Service Providers have decided to no longer sell or support MSN Premium.  Therefore, MSN Premium has expired and you can no longer sign in to browse the internet or retrieve email. How do you perform a clean install of an Nvidia Graphics Driver?

When a graphics driver is not installed properly, a computer can run extremely slow.  This typically happens because a graphics driver is installed on top of another graphics driver that has not been fully removed.  Upon completion of installing the graphics driver, a computer is immediately slow.  To quickly resolve this issue, you can perform a System Restore.  You can also perform a clean install of the Nvidia Graphics Driver: Double-click the Nvidia Graphics Driver. Click Agree and Continue. Select Advanced Click Next. Click  Perform A Clean Installation. Click Next. This issue has been resolved.
