If you perform nslookup from a Computer that is not configured to use the existing Windows Domain DNS and/or the Computer is not joined to the Windows Domain, you will have to use the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) ala host.domain.suffix to nslookup a Computer inside the Windows Domain. Example: computer01.mydomain.com. First, please set the nslookup server to the Windows Domain DNS and then enter the FQDN of the computer you wish to lookup.
