How do you copy/rescue data from a failing/damaged Windows NTFS drive?

When a Windows NTFS drive has a significant hardware problem, it is normally still possible to copy/rescue data from the failing drive.  As long as the drive is recognized by the System BIOS or Disk Controller, the likelihood of data being copied from the failing Windows drive to a working drive are extremely high using a Linux System Rescue CD.  Using Windows, attemps to copy data from the failing drive will lock up Windows or result in the error message: Cyclic redundancy check. However, the Linux System Rescue CD is able to browse the failing NTFS file system and copy data without issue. FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe - Application Error

You may encounter the error message "FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe - Application Error - The instruction at 0x7c9113c0 referenced memory at 0x00000000.  The memory could not be written."  To resolve this issue, please perform the following steps: Download the Adobe Flash Uninstaller: http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player.exe Log out and log back in to insure that all web browser processes are forcibly closed. All web browser processes must be terminated in order for Adobe Flash to be fully uninstalled. With all web browsers closed, run the Adobe Flash Uninstaller. Reboot the computer. Install the latest version of Adobe Flash from: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ After installation, reboot the computer once more to confirm the error message is no longer displayed. You may find that you must also remove all jobs from Start - Control Panel - Scheduled Tasks. This issue has been resolved.

How do you initially install and configure Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003?

Sierra Wireless Aircard Not Detected

Microsoft Windows Plug 'n Play can sometimes create more than one instance of a Hardware Device that is routinely unplugged and plugged back into a computer. To resolve this issue, please perform the following steps: With the Aircard plugged into the computer, click Start - Control Panel - Phone and Modem Options. Click the Modems tab. Select each instance of the Aircard and click remove. When finished removing all instances of the Aircard, click OK. Double-click System Control Panel - Device Manager. Expand Modems and insure the Aircard is no longer present. Right-mouse click the Hostname of the computer and select Scan for hardware changes.  A single instance of the Aircard is detected and installed. This issue has been resolved.
