How do you scan wirelessly to an HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner?

To scan wireleslly to an HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner, please perform the following steps:
  1. Connect HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner to computer USB connection.

  2. Download and install the latest HP Printer Firmware Update for your exact HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner model.  It is important that you download and install the correct firmware update for your exact HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner model.  Using the incorrect firmware update will likely destroy your HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner.

  3. On your computer, download and install the latest HP Full Printer Driver for your HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner.

  4. Disconnect HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner from computer USB connection.

  5. From your computer, click Start- All Programs- HP - Printer Setup and connect HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner to wireless network using 2.4GHz wireless router.  HP All-In-One Printer/Scanners are normally only compatible with 2.4GHz wireless routers.

  6. If the Windows Firewall on your computer has been reset to Defaults, insure the Windows Firewall recreates the Exceptions which allows the HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner to reconnect with wireless printer.  This can quickly be resolved using the HP Print and Scan Doctor or the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility.

Scan Wirelessly - Solution One
  1. Click Start - All Programs - HP - Solution Center.

  2. Click your HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner.

  3. Under Scanner Actions, click Manage Scan to Computer.

  4. In the Active Scan to Computer dialog box, place a checkmark next to Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows.

  5. Click Enable.

  6. Click Close.
Scan Wirelessly - Solution Two
  1. Click Start - All Programs - HP - Solution Center.

  2. Click Home.

  3. Click Scan Picture or Scan Document.
You can also scan from (a) the HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner Control Panel on the front of the printer or (b) the printer's Embedded Web Server accessible by browsing to the HP All-In-One Printer/Scanner's IP Address.

Event ID: 7001 - Source: VSS - Unable to create a shadow copy

When using Microsoft Windows Server, you may encounter the error message: "Unable to create a shadow copy."  In the Event Viewer, you may find the following Event: "Event ID: 7001 - Source: VSS - Unable to create a shadow copy."  This event involves the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).  Most likely the Server was rebooted while creating a Shadow Copy.  Many websites describe deleting or renaming the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WBEM directory used by Windows Management Instrumentation to resolve this issue.  This is not correct.  Following are the steps to resolve this issue: Double-click My Computer.
