YouTube - You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.

When you browse to YouTube, you may encounter the message, "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video."  If you have upgraded Adobe Flash and this issue continues to occur, the cause of this issue is one of the following:  The Adobe Flash Player Plugin has been disabled within your web browser or Adobe Flash Player has been corrupted.  When Adobe Flash is corrupt, the CPU may run extremely high causing Windows to run very slowly when attempting to play Adobe Flash.  Adobe Flash videos are therefore slow and choppy.  Following are the steps to resolve this issue:

Uninstall and Reinstall Adobe Flash Player
  1. Close all web browsers.

  2. Run the Adobe Flash Uninstaller.

  3. Reboot.

  4. Reinstall Adobe Flash Player.

Reset Mozilla Firefox to Default Settings

If you continue to experience the problem in Firefox, you may need to reset Firefox to default settings:
  1. Close Firefox.

  2. Click Start - Run.

  3. Type: firefox -safe-mode

  4. When prompted, place a checkmark next to "Disable all add-ons."

  5. Place a checkmark next to "Reset toolbars and controls."

  6. Place a checkmark next to "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults."

  7. Place a checkmark next to "Restore default search engines."

  8. Click "Make changes and restart."

Reset Microsoft Internet Explorer to Default Settings
  1. Click Start - Control Panel - Internet Options.

  2. Click the Advanced tab.

  3. Click Restore Advanced Settings.

  4. Click Apply.

  5. Click Reset.

  6. Click Reset.
This issue has now been resolved.

Event ID: 7001 - Source: VSS - Unable to create a shadow copy

When using Microsoft Windows Server, you may encounter the error message: "Unable to create a shadow copy."  In the Event Viewer, you may find the following Event: "Event ID: 7001 - Source: VSS - Unable to create a shadow copy."  This event involves the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).  Most likely the Server was rebooted while creating a Shadow Copy.  Many websites describe deleting or renaming the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WBEM directory used by Windows Management Instrumentation to resolve this issue.  This is not correct.  Following are the steps to resolve this issue: Double-click My Computer. Right-mouse click the Hard Drive causing the problem. Click the Shadow Copies tab. Select the appropriate Volume. Click Disable. Click OK. How do you stop an unstoppable Windows Service?

You may encounter a Windows Service in Services that has the buttons for Start, Stop, Pause and Resume greyed out.  If you attempt to stop the Service using sc stop [servicename], you encounter the error message: "The requested control is not valid for this service."  To resolve this issue, please perform the following steps: Click Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services. Double-click the relevant Service. Change the Service Start-Up Type to Disabled. Click Apply. Click OK. Hit CTRL-ALT-DEL on your keyboard. Select Task Manger.
