You may encounter an Intel Audio Studio dialog box which states: "Sonic Focus drivers must be loaded for this application to work." This issue can arise due to a conflict between the Integrated Device Technology (IDT) Audio Driver and the Intel Audio Studio application. One driver designed by IDT and the other designed by Intel. When this issue arises, the official driver for this motherboard is likely the IDT driver. Therefore to resolve this issue, the Intel Audio Studio should be uninstalled using Add/Remove Programs. When you go to Add/Remove Programs, you may find that the Remove button is not visible. To resolve this issue, please perform the following steps:
- Close Add/Remove Programs.
- Click Start - Run.
- Type: regedit
- Hit Enter.
- Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{2205E3A5-DCDC-461D-8ED6-D6F2341D3B64}
- Double-click NoRemove.
- Change the 1 to 0.
- Close regedit.
- Click Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs.
- Select Intel Audio Studio.
- Click Remove.
