The following steps will create a Ghost Image of a Computer which is saved to an External USB drive.
- With the computer off, connect the External USB Drive to the USB port on the back of the computer. Also connect the mouse, keyboard and computer monitor as normal.
- Turn on the computer.
- Insert the Norton Ghost CDROM (Symantec Recovery Disk) into CDROM drive. The computer will boot from the CDROM.
- When prompted, click Accept.
- Click Backup My Computer.
- Click Next.
- Select all drive partitions that exist on the computer such as the C and D Drive partitions.
- Click Next.
- Click Browse and browse to the drive letter that Ghost has associated with your external USB Drive.
- Click Next.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish. Norton Ghost will then begin the process of creating an image of your Server and saving it to the location that you have designated.
