Normally, your installation of Windows XP would include a DVD Decoder that would allow Windows Media Player to AutoPlay the DVD. This is because a new computer typically includes CinePlayer or similar software that has installed the DVD Decoder for Windows Media Player. If this functionality is not in place, you will have to perform the following:
- Download the K-Lite Codec Pack from http://www.codecpackguide.com/klcodec.htm
- When you AutoPlay the DVD, select Windows Media Player Classic which will then play the DVD.
- You can then resize the window to the appropriate size for playback.
