There are four jumpers to the left of the 40-pin IDE Interface. The jumper that is the closest to the IDE Connector is Jumper 4. When Jumper 4 is jumped, the Device is set to Master. When the jumper is unjumped, the Device is set to Slave. The jumper to the left of Jumper 4 is Jumper 3. When only Jumper 3 is jumped, the Device is set to Cable Select. I recommend that the Travan 40 IDE Tape Drive be set as the Master. If there is a CDROM drive, it would then be set as Slave.
Please Note: In the BIOS of the Computer, the Drive Configuration Setting must be enabled that allows the CDROM and the Travan40 tape drive to be properly detected. You may need to change this setting to Auto for the appropriate IDE channels. Also the Boot Order may need to be the following in order to avoid any error messages:
