If you have a computer configured to use a Raid Configuration and the computer is taking an extremely long time to boot, you may find that the Raid Controller has a status of Verify. You may see this Status momentarily flash on the screen prior to the boot process being initiated. On some computers, you may have to enter the Computer BIOS or the Raid Controller Configuration in order to see the RAID Status. Normally, you would want to allow the RAID Verify process to complete in order for the the Raid Status to automatically return to Normal. Please be aware that the Verify process may take an extended period of time complete. It is not uncommon for it to take a half an hour or more. Normally once this process has completed, you should find the operating system and data is still intact. This incident is normally caused by a power-related issue with your computer. You may wish to purchase a Uninterruptable Power Supply for your computer and install and configure the associated software.
