Following are the steps to analyze Yahoo web logs. Using the WebLog Expert program, you will see a variety of information such as Referrers, Hits, etc., etc.
1. Download the free WebLog Experte Lite from http://www.ydownloadwle.com/
2. Install the software on your computer.
3. Browse to http://www.domain.com/logs/
4. Right-mouse click a log that interests you and save it to your Desktop. For example: access_100120.log is the log file for January 20, 2010. You would normally only want to review a log file for a previous day - one that encompasses the entire duration of a day. The more activity, the larger the size of the log file.
5. Double-click the WebLog Expert Lite shortcut on your Desktop.
6. Click the New button.
7. In the profile field, type the date of the log file.
8. In the domain field, type: www.domain.com
9. In the index file field, type: index.html
10. Click Next.
11. Click Browse and select the access log on your Desktop.
12. Click Finish.
13. Now double-click the log file that was loaded.
14. Internet Explorer will then automatically open the report created by WebLog Expert Lite. If you wish to analyze multiple days on one report, you will want to create a New Profile and when it asks for the log location, you simply separate each log location with a semicolon.
Example: C:\Users\user\Desktop\access_100120.log;C:\Users\user\Desktop\access_100119.log
I believe in the paid version this process is handled automatically. You may wish to download the trial version of WebLog Expert Professional. I believe in the professional version, you simply point it to the log file location of http://www.domain.com/logs/ and it handles the rest of the process.
