How do you confirm renewal of a Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security License?

Normally, a Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security License is renewed using the existing Activation Code.  In this configuration, there are no changes that need to be made on the Server.  The license renewal process takes place automatically.  Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security automatically polls the Trend Micro License Server and updates the License Status using the existing Activation Code.  However, to confirm the renewal of a Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security License or to force the polling of the Trend Micro License Server or to change the Activation Code in use by Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security, please perform the following steps:
  1. Open the Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security License PDF file.  Confirm that the License is a Renewal and that the Maintenance Start Date and Maintenance End Date reflect the correct dates.  Additionally, take note of the Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security Activation Code listed in the PDF file.

  2. On the Server, double-click the Worry Free Business Security Internet Shortcut on the Desktop.

  3. Click the hyperlink entitled, "Continue to this website (not recommended)."

  4. A dialog box will appear.  If you have not purchased an SSL Certificate for this website, click No.  If you have purchased an SSL Certificate for this website, click Yes.

  5. In the password field, type the Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security administrator password.

  6. Click Log on.

  7. Click the Preferences - Product License button.

  8. Confirm that the Activation Code found on the Preferences - Product License web
    page is the same as the one found in the Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security License PDF file.  If it is not, click the Enter A New Code hyperlink to change the Activation Code.

  9. With the Preferences - Product License web page displaying the correct Activation Code, click the Check Status Online button.  The web page should update to reflect that the Status is Active
    and the Maintenance Expiration now matches the one found in the Trend Micro Worry Free Business Security License PDF file.

The L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer.

You may encounter the following error message when using the L2TP/IPSec VPN Client that is native to the Windows Operating System: "The L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer."  This error message typically occurs when you are using the wrong Pre-Shared Key for your L2TP VPN.  This error message can occur when other components of your configuration are incorrect but the first thing to confirm is that you are using the correct Pre-Shared Key. If you are using the wrong Pre-Shared Key, the L2TP VPN connection will say Connecting for a long period of time and then display the error message: "The L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer."
