How do you create a Ghost Image of a Computer which is saved to an External USB Drive?

The following steps will create a Ghost Image of a Computer which is saved to an External USB drive.
  1. With the computer off, connect the External USB Drive to the USB port on the back of the computer.  Also connect the mouse, keyboard and computer monitor as normal.

  2. Turn on the computer.

  3. Insert the Norton Ghost CDROM (Symantec Recovery Disk) into CDROM drive.  The computer will boot from the CDROM.

  4. When prompted, click Accept.

  5. Click Backup My Computer.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Select all drive partitions that exist on the computer such as the C and D Drive partitions.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Click Browse and browse to the drive letter that Ghost has associated with your external USB Drive.

  10. Click Next.

  11. Click Next.

  12. Click Finish.  Norton Ghost will then begin the process of creating an image of your Server and saving it to the location that you have designated.
Please Note: If the above steps do not work, you can also install the software on the computer and then perform the Ghosting steps described above.

How do you stop an unstoppable Windows Service?

The L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer.

You may encounter the following error message when using the L2TP/IPSec VPN Client that is native to the Windows Operating System: "The L2TP connection attempt failed because the security layer encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer."  This error message typically occurs when you are using the wrong Pre-Shared Key for your L2TP VPN.  This error message can occur when other components of your configuration are incorrect but the first thing to confirm is that you are using the correct Pre-Shared Key.
