Browse to KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services Click the Folder that reflects the Service Name that you wish to remove. Click the Delete key on your keyboard. How do you stop an unstoppable Windows Service?

You may encounter a Windows Service in Services that has the buttons for Start, Stop, Pause and Resume greyed out.  If you attempt to stop the Service using sc stop [servicename], you encounter the error message: "The requested control is not valid for this service."  To resolve this issue, please perform the following steps: Click Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services. Double-click the relevant Service. Change the Service Start-Up Type to Disabled. Click Apply. Click OK. Hit CTRL-ALT-DEL on your keyboard. Select Task Manger. Microsoft Outlook - Receiving reported error (0x80040600) Unknown Error 0x80040600

Within Microsoft Outlook, you may encounter the error message: "Receiving reported error (0x80040600) Unknown Error 0x80040600."  This error message indicates that the Outlook mail file has become corrupt.  A mail client cannot store infinite amounts of information.  Routinely, information needs to be compacted and/or archived.   When information is not routinely discarded, compacted or archived - the mail file will become corrupt.  When this occurs, the mail file needs to be repaired. Please perform the following steps to repair and then compact the mail file: Click Start - Run. How do you reset Firefox to default values?

To reset Firefox to default values, please perform the following steps: Click Start - Run. Type: firefox -safe-mode Click OK. Place a checkmark next to Disable all add-ons. Place a checkmark next to Reset toolbars and controls. Place a checkmark next to Reset all user Preferences to Firefox defaults. Place a checkmark next to Restore default search engines.
